THE LOVER and THE COLLECTION Double Bill Set for Shakespeare Theatre Company

Building on the critical success of his 2011 production of Harold Pinter's Old Times, STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn will return to the British playwright's gripping realm of doubt and disquiet to direct a double bill of short plays. The Lover and The Collection will run from September 26-October 29 at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW).

ShawChicago presents THE DEVIL'S DISCIPLE

ShawChicago starts its twenty-fourth season with George Bernard Shaw's American Revolution work, The Devil's Disciple. This play, capturing classical American resistance, takes place Oct. 14 - Nov. 6 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60610. 'It's an American history lesson about our revolution,' says director Robert Scogin.

The Public Theater and The Shakespeare Society have announced that they will join forces to form the new PUBLIC SHAKESPEARE INITIATIVE, under the leadership of long-time Shakespeare Society Artistic Director, Michael Sexton. Royal Shakespeare's TITUS ANDRONICUS Comes to River St. Theatre This Week

The River Street Theatre (RST), a project of The Park Theatre, will be presenting the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Titus Andronicus on Sunday, September 24 (1:30 pm & 6:30 pm) and Monday, September 25 (1:30 pm). The presentation is part of the RST's Stage2Screen Series. The play was filmed in ultra high definition in Stratford-upon-Avon, England on August 9, 2017.

Royal Alexandra Theatre Marquee Dims in Honour of Sir Peter Hall

David Mirvish was saddened to learn about the death of theatre giant Sir Peter Hall, who died in London at the age of 86 on September 11, 2017. In honour of his life, the lights of the Royal Alexandra Theatre will be dimmed at 8 PM tonight, September 19.

Casting Announced For THE BUSY WORLD IS HUSHED at Finborough Theatre

The European premiere of a new play by the acclaimed American playwright Keith Bunin in his UK debut, The Busy World is Hushed opens at the Finborough Theatre for an eight week limited season on Friday, 6 October 2017 (Press Nights: Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 October 2017 at 7.30pm).

John Lithgow has just been announced as the winner of the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work on Netflix's 'The Crown'. The actor portrayed iconic politician Winston Churchill.

Tina Turner Musical TINA to Open in West End April 2018 at Aldwych Theatre

Today, 15 September 2017, Stage Entertainment are pleased to confirm that TINA, a new musical based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner, will open at the Aldwych Theatre in April 2018. Performances will begin on 21 March 2018 with press night on 17 April 2018. TINA is initially booking to 16 June 2018.
