Mark Rylance, three-time Tony Award winner (Jerusalem, Boeing-Boeing, Twelfth Night) and Academy Award-winner (Bridge of Spies), will return to Broadway in the critically acclaimed Shakespeare's Globe production of FARINELLI AND THE KING, a new play with music by author and composer Claire van Kampen, it was announced today by producers Sonia Friedman, Shakespeare's Globe and Paula Marie Black.

Stage Right's professional season will continue with the musical Pippin coming to the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center, February 17-19.

Further casting is today announced for Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead which previews from Saturday 25 February with a press night on Tuesday 7 March.

The world premiere of Abigail by Papatango award-winning playwright Fiona Doyle will close The Bunker's highly-acclaimed inaugural season. Abigail will be directed by The Bunker's Artistic Director, Joshua McTaggart. Originally written in 2013 when it was long-listed for the Bruntwood Prize, The Bunker's production stars Tia Bannon (The Winter's Tale and Pericles, The Globe) and Mark Rose (King Lear, The Old Vic; Hangmen, Royal Court). Following a ceremony at the Old Vic, the winners of the Evening Standard Awards have been revealed. The list includes West End juggernaut, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child; visionary of stage and screen, Kenneth Branagh; legend and star of Sunset Boulevard, Glenn Close; and more!

The Evening Standard Theatre Awards, established in 1955, are presented annually for outstanding achievements in London Theatre, and this year's nominations longlist has just been announced. Sponsored by the Evening Standard newspaper, this year's shortlist will be revealed on October 24, and winners on November 13, 2016.

The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra presents Romeo and Juliet today, October 8th, 8:00 pm at the Michigan Theater. The performance includes a dramatic musical retelling of the classic story of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet narrated by Ralph Williams with Brahms Tragic Overture and Haydn's Sinfonia Concertante, Op. 84. The evening will feature solos from special guests Aaron Berofsky on violin, Sarah Cleveland on cello, Christian Green on bassoon, Timothy Michling on oboe, and narration by Ralph Williams.

On Sunday, July 10, over one hundred black women artists gathered at the New Museum to form a collective force underground, known as Black Women Artists for Black Lives Matter (BWA for BLM). Simone Leigh, the New Museum's current artist-in-residence, whose exhibition 'The Waiting Room' is on view through September 18, convened this group in response to the continued inhumane institutionalized violence against black lives in the U.S.

English Touring Theatre and Theatre Royal Brighton Productions today announced casting for a new touring production of Tom Stoppard's comedy masterpiece, Arcadia, which will be the first major national tour since 1993, and over 20 years since the play has been seen by audiences around the UK.

The cast for Roy Williams' new play, Wildefire, which plays on the Main Stage at Hampstead Theatre today 6 - 29 November will be led by Lorraine Stanley as Gail Wildefire, with Cian Barry, Ricky Champ, Fraser James, Simon Manyonda and Sharlene Whyte (Biographies below) and Eric Kofi Abrefa, Danny Dalton, Sammy Hayman, Tara Hodge and Noof Ousellam.
