Italian Theater Festival NY, a festival of Italian theater taking place in all five boroughs of NYC, April 29-May 13, 2019. Bloomberg Philanthropies announced today the City of Coral Springs, in partnership with the City of Parkland, is a winner of its 2018 Public Art Challenge. Coral Springs will receive $1 million for its project "Inspiring Community Healing After Gun Violence: The Power of Art." Over the last few years, Latin American artist Juan Wauters has covered a lot of ground, both artistically and geographically. Until this point in his career, most of his songs had been sung in English, but revisiting his Latin roots inspired him to record songs in his native tongue. Today, Wauters announces the wonderful La Onda de Juan Pablo, the world of Juan Pablo Wauters, sung entirely in Spanish and recorded with local musicians along his travels. He's unveiled a video for the album's lead single and infectious love song, 'Guapa' which was inspired by Puerto Rico, where his journey leapt off.
