New Plays from Chicago, Baltimore, Norway, Paris & NC Set for The Tank's 2015-16 'Flint & Tinder' Series

The Tank - a midtown theater company dedicated to developing and presenting new works for the stage by emerging artists, announces its 2015 - 2016 Flint & Tinder series, which includes five new plays from Chicago, Baltimore, Norway, Paris and North Carolina.

ADA/AVA Extends at 3LD Art & Technology Center

3-Legged Dog (Kevin Cunningham, Artistic Director) and The Tank (Rosalind Grush, Artistic Director) are is thrilled to announce that due to ticket demand, ADA/AVA will extend through Sunday, July 26. Originally scheduled to close on Sunday, July 5, ADA/AVA now runs through Sunday, July 12.

ADA/AVA to Make NYC Premiere at 3LD Art & Technology Center

3-Legged Dog (Kevin Cunningham, Artistic Director) is thrilled to present the NYC premiere of ADA/AVA, conceived by Chicago's Manual Cinema, directed by Drew Dir, and part of The Tank's Flint & Tinder, their flagship theater program. ADA/AVA begins performances on Tuesday, June 16 for a limited engagement through Sunday, July 5. Press opening is Sunday, June 21 at 3 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Saturday at 8 PM; Sunday at 3 PM. Please note there is an added performance on Monday, June 22 at 8 PM; there is no performance Tuesday, June 23. The performance schedule for the final week (6/30 - 7/5) is Tuesday - Friday at 7 PM & 9 PM; Saturday at 3 PM; Sunday at 3 PM & 7 PM is Performances are at 3LD Art and Technology Center (80 Greenwich Street, at Rector, in downtown Manhattan). The Tank - the Manhattan-based theater company devoted to developing and presenting new works for the stage by emerging artists -- will begin the 2015 season of 'Flint & Tinder,' The Tank's flagship theater program, this month with the world-premiere of GATHERING THE MAGIC, a solo play written and performed by Nelson Lugo about a young man's journey from his first toy magic kit to professional magician - and all the things magical and not-so-much he encounters along the way - with previews starting tonight, January 30 prior to opening January 31 at The Tank's home theatre located at 151 W. 46 St. in NYC.

The Tank, a non-profit arts presenter located in the heart of midtown, is proud to present The Assembly's That Poor Dream, a new play set on a train traveling from New York City to Fairfield, CT. Following a successful run at The New Ohio Theatre in the fall of 2014, the company has continued development work on the piece and will be performing an updated version. Inspired by Charles Dickens' Great Expectations, the work unites worlds divided by geography, privilege, and time. Drawing on the company's own complex relationship to class identity and economic disparity in American society, The Assembly's newest creation explores how class defines and separates us, and how our shared humanity might bring us closer together.

Evanston: A Rare Comedy will debut in July 2009 as part of the undergroundzero festival at P.S. 122, and then in August will be performed at HERE Arts Center as part of their Summer Sublet Series. From the writer/director team behind The Ted Haggard Monologues, this black comedy begins with the disappearance of a teenage girl in deepest suburbia and ends when a meeting of The Evanston Women?s Book Club goes horribly awry.
