Two-time Tony® Award winner and Emmy® nominee Patti LuPone (American Horror Story, Life Goes On, Evita, Gypsy) is signing on as a guest star on the second season of the hit SHOWTIME drama series PENNY DREADFUL.

David Binder has just announced an international broadcast of the critically-acclaimed, smash-hit revival of John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men will be the first Broadway show filmed by National Theatre Live. Starring Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner James Franco, BAFTA and Tony Award nominee Chris O'Dowd, Leighton Meester and Tony and Olivier Award winner Jim Norton, and directed by Tony Award winner Anna D. Shapiro, Of Mice and Men will be filmed at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48 Street) and distributed by National Theatre Live. Screening dates for Of Mice and Men will be announced shortly.

As PENNY DREADFUL makes its San Diego Comic-Con debut, SHOWTIME will host autograph signings featuring cast members Josh Hartnett, Reeve Carney, Harry Treadaway, and creator and executive producer John Logan on Thursday, July 24th and Friday, July 25th. This marks the series' first trip to the world-famous gathering in San Diego. Headlining the opening night of Comic-Con, PENNY DREADFUL's panel session, moderated by Emmy® Award-nominated actress and host Aisha Tyler (The Talk, Archer), will be presented on Thursday, July 24th from6:00-7:00 pm in Ballroom 20. A special package of PENNY DREADFUL-inspired tarot cards will be given to all fans who attend the panel session. Additionally, four lucky members of the panel audience will have the opportunity to win tickets to an exclusive PENNY DREADFUL party that evening.

Casting is complete for Steppenwolf Theatre Company's Chicago-premiere production of The Night Alive by Conor McPherson. Henry Wishcamper directs a cast featuring ensemble members Francis Guinan and Tim Hopper with Helen Sadler, Dan Waller and M. Emmet Walsh. The world premiere of The Night Alive was produced at the Donmar Warehouse in 2013. The Night Alive begins previews September 18, 2014 (opening night is September 28; press performances are September 27 at 3pm and September 30 at 7:30pm) and runs through November 16, 2014 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St).

From three-time Oscar(R) nominee John Logan, the Showtime drama series Penny Dreadful debuted to 1.443 million viewers last night, besting the series premieres of recent network dramas Homeland and Masters of Sex by five percent (both delivered 1.38 million) in their first seasons. The series premiere of Penny Dreadful drew 872,000 at 10 p.m.

SHOWTIME will be available to 74 million households during a Free Preview Weekend this Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11. Viewers nationwide will be able to sample the network's award-winning programming on SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME On Demand(R), SHOWTIME ANYTIME(R) and on a number of participating distributors' TV Everywhere portals.
