Scholastic, Warner Bros. Announce New Licensing Deal for FANTASTIC BEASTS Films

(New York, NY – March 29, 2016) Scholastic, the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books, in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, announced today a global licensed publishing deal for children's books based on the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them films, as well as the Harry Potter movie franchise. Launching in September 2016, the licensing deal includes world all language rights for children's movie tie-in books in multiple formats for the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie and its sequels, as well as tie-in books based on the original eight Harry Potter films.

Rhode Island Comic Con Announces Hellboy Reunion with Rare Appearance

With just three weeks before The Biggest Show in the Smallest State, Rhode Island Comic Con announces a rare convention appearance by Selma Blair, widely known for her role as Liz Sherman in Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy (2004) and Hellboy II (2008). Blair's appearance rounds out a Hellboy cast reunion for the Rhode Island convention, running November 6th through the 8th at the Rhode Island Convention Center and the Dunkin Donuts Center arena.
Blair joins Hellboy cast mates, Ron Perlman and Doug Jones, at the three-day convention. She is scheduled to appear Saturday November 7th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. only.
In addition to her role as Liz Sherman, Blair has also appeared in Cruel Intentions, and is currently filming American Crime Story, in the role of Kris Jenner. Most recently, she co-starred with Charlie Sheen in the popular television series Anger Management as Kate Wells.
Attendees of The Rhode Island Comic Con will enjoy opportunities to meet the actors face-to-face, as well as take advantage of autograph and photo opportunities. Tickets for the 4th Rhode Island Comic Con are currently on sale through Ticketmaster, or by visiting www.ricomiccon.com. Weekend admission is $75 in advance, $85 at the door (if available). VIP and celebrity packages are also available.
In its fourth year, the award-winning Rhode Island Comic Con, produced by Altered Reality Entertainment, expands to three days, two venues, and over 100 celebrity guests, including actors from Star Trek, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, Agents of Shield, and Transformers, among many others. Comic book artists from Marvel, DC and the independent market all converge on downtown Providence. Gaming, cosplay, and after parties all add to an exciting schedule of events and panels.
