America's largest documentary festival runs November 12-19 at the IFC Center (323 Sixth Ave.) in Greenwich Village and Chelsea's SVA Theatre (333 W. 23rd St.) and Bow Tie Chelsea Cinemas (260 W. 23rd St.).

Long before the devil wore Prada -- 20 years ago, in fact -- the story of the irrepressible Diana Vreeland first commanded the stage of the Globe in a world premiere in 1995. Oscar and Tony Award winner Mercedes Ruehl (The Fisher King, Lost in Yonkers) now brings "The Empress of Fashion" back in FULL GALLOP. Written by Mark Hampton and Mary Louise Wilson and directed by Andrew Russell. Both critics and audiences are loving it, and FULL GALLOP will now add a limited week of additional performances, extending through Sunday, November 1, 2015, in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

According to Variety, Luke Grimes (Fifty Shades of Grey) has joined the cast of Pete Sollett's FREEHELD.

Deadline reports that Steve Carell is taking over Zach Galifianakis's role in the upcoming drama FREEHELD. Galifianakis departs the project due to schedule conflicts. FREEHELD also stars Julianne Moore and Ellen Page and will be directed by Peter Sollett from a script by Ron Nyswaner.

Columbia University School of the Arts Film Program and the Film Society of Lincoln Center will co-present the 27thAnnual Columbia University Film Festival (CUFF), a weeklong program of screenings, dramatic readings and special events in New York. The celebration will continue with events to be announced for June 17-20 in Los Angeles. This marks the third year that the Festival is co-presented by the Film Society.

The film is based on the 2007 documentary, and tells the 'true story of the lateLaurel Hester (Moore), a New Jersey police detective whose world was shattered when she became terminally ill and government officials prevented her from assigning her pension benefits to her domestic partner, Stacie Andree (Page).'
