LES Shakespeare Company's ROMEO & JULIET Begins 7/23 at Under St. Marks Theater

LES Shakespeare Company presents ROMEO & JULIET in a new interpretation re-imagined with original compositions and choreography at Under St. Marks Theater (94 St. Marks Place) from Thursday July 23rdthrough Saturday July 25th. Artistic director Melody Erfani directs a cast that includes Adriana Bohmier, Kevin Bunge, Edlyn Griffin, Byron Hagan, Sean Hinckle, Ariel Lauryn, J. P. Makowski, Mike Maloneyand Sarah Miles.

This summer INDEPENDENT SHAKESPEARE CO. presents its imaginative and soul-stirring take on the most famous love story of all time, Shakespeare's ROMEO & JULIET, directed by Independent Shakespeare Co.'s Artistic Director Melissa Chalsma. ROMEO & JULIET will begin previews at THE GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL on Thursday, June 25 at 7pm and will open on Friday, July 3 at 7:00pm and perform through Sunday, July 26 at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park

New York City Ballet Promotes Three Dancers

New York City Ballet announced today the promotion of three of the Company's dancers. Soloists Lauren Lovette and Anthony Huxley have been promoted to the rank of principal dancer, and corps de ballet member Ashly Isaacs has been promoted to soloist.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) has announced that the pilot program of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot kicked-off this week at Weld Central High School in Keenesburg, Colo. Shakespeare in the Parking Lot featured an hour-long production of Romeo & Juliet performed in and around a pickup truck.
