The legendary musical GYPSY plays on The Media Theatre stage September 23 through November 1, opening the award-winning music theatre company's 2015-16 Broadway Series season.

Fox-TV Channel 29's super weather anchor, Sue Serio, has a knack for calling it like she sees it when it comes to The Media Theatre's 'Vocalist' contest. Having emceed the popular summer singing competition for several years, Serio opened the year's event once again. With her warm, welcoming spirit and terrific connection to the enthusiastic audience, Serio said the night's show was 'Astonishing'. 

The Media Theatre's Broadway Series starts up again in September, but until then several professional actors who have appeared on its stage will headline the classic rock and roll musical 'The Who's Tommy' in July and August.

Disney's 'Aladdin Jr', the one hour youth version of the hit Broadway musical, delights audiences each weekend now through August at The Media Theatre. Saturday performances are at 11am with Sunday shows at Noon.

With the fall season approaching quickly schools are getting back into session. This includes The Media Theatre's Acting Classes which go into full course mode starting the weekend of September 6. Produced and supervised by Media Music Theatre Company, the classes offer a semester of professional training for those just beginning or wishing to further their education.

From now until August 17, Disney's animated classic 'Cinderella' comes to life on The Media Theatre stage each weekend. It's on Saturdays at 11am and Sundays at Noon.

The young actors and performers at Media Music Theatre Company will be involved in their favorite activity all summer long highlighting talents in Camp Media Theatre, Disney's classic "Cinderella", the legendary "Fiddler On The Roof", and the annual singing competition "The Vocalist". Several of them will also be featured in Roger Ricker's annual concert, titled "UP!" Tickets are available for all performances.

Disney and fairy tales have become synonymous over the decades due to the animated cinematic treatments given to classics such as "Cinderella". Disney's "Cinderella" may be seen live onstage at The Media Theatre weekends in June, July, and August.

The Media Theatre will transport young audiences to prehistoric times when it presents the new stage adaptation of 'Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark' weekends in March, April, and May as part of the award-winning Children's Series. The family-friendly musical for ages 4 and up follows the adventures of a brother and sister who discover a magical tree house that whisks them away to the land of dinosaurs.

Media Theatre, Media Pa. Celebrates 20 Years of Theatre!!

The Media Theatre's Roger Ricker has his annual fundraiser tonight, August 14. Each summer for the past eight years Ricker has held a concert to raise funds for the theatre's youth programs. This year's concert, 'Star Power', will feature several special guests and members of the theatre's youth ensemble as they come together to celebrate with enthusiasm and a great message.
