Encores! Artistic Director Jack Viertel today announced casting for the Encores! production of Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the Tony Award-winning musical based on Mark Twain's classic American novel.

The South Bend Civic Theatre is pleased to announce its exciting 2017 Season, celebrating their 60th anniversary and 10th year in their new home.

The McCallum Theatre presents Johnny Mathis and "60th Anniversary Tour Christmas Concert" with special guest Gary Mule Deer on Friday, December 16, and Saturday, December 17, with both performances at 8:00pm. A Johnny Mathis Christmas showcases the legendary, award-winning vocalist and performer with his quartet and a 31-piece orchestra. The concert features favorites from Mathis' many beloved and best-selling holiday albums, plus a selection of Mathis' pop music hits. You'll hear such yuletide classics as 'It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas,' 'Winter Wonderland' and 'White Christmas' delivered with the inimitable Mathis styling. Joining Johnny is the hilarious comedian Gary Mule Deer, a McCallum favorite.

Jonny Fritz released his video for “Stadium Inn” today via American Songwriter. The song appears on his new LP Sweet Creep, produced by Jim James of My Morning Jacket, is out now via ATO Records.

Peoria Center for the Performing Arts welcomes the Greg Warner Trio featuring the vocal stylings of Dennis Rowland and Diana Lee on Wednesday, November 16 at 7:30pm. This award-winning group will wow you with their jazz, pop and funk. During February of 2016 American blues singer and guitarist Peach Reasoner returned to Copenhagen to play with her band at her favorite club, the cozy Cafe Bartof. Club owners Joacim "Jokke" Friss Holm and Charlotte Bertelsen had graciously agreed that recording equipment could be brought for a live recording session.

Theatre at the Center is announcing its first season under the leadership of new Artistic Director Linda Fortunato.   Theatre at the Center's 2017 season is comprised of a variety of works ranging from Broadway musicals to a Chicagoland premiere play and a holiday classic.  The season opens with My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra, followed by Kander and Ebb's Tony Award winning Cabaret.  Next will be the Chicagoland premiere of The Tin Woman by Sean Grennan, then Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and closing the season is A Wonderful Life: The Musical.  Jeff award-winner Fortunato will direct three of the five productions.   William Underwood will serve as music director for the season.
