Pasadena Playhouse presents Kiss Me, Kate from Sept. 16 to Oct. 12. Music and lyrics by Cole Porter, book by Bella and Samuel Spewack, and directed by Sheldon Epps.

The Pasadena Playhouse announced today that Wayne Brady will star as Fred/Petruchio in the Cole Porter Broadway musical KISS ME, KATE. The multi-Emmy Award winning Brady will head a cast of 17. Epps will direct the 2014-2015 Season opener, which will run from September 16- October 12, 2014 with the official press opening on September 21. The production also stars Merle Dandridge (Broadway's Spamalot and Tarzan) as Lily/Kate.

After increasing the number of weekly performances and moving to a larger venue in West Hollywood to accommodate significantly larger crowds, "For The Record: Tarantino" has become the hottest ticket in town, driving the series to add a 10-week extension. The show has attracted thousands of people already, including director Quentin Tarantino, actors and singers like Bruce Willis, Aaron Paul, Barbra Streisand, James Brolin, Demi Moore, Dylan McDermott, Adam Lambert as well as network, studio and industry executives. Beginning March 27, the hit series will make their debut in this new, next level performance space that is hosting the most vital and relevant live music, DJ's, performance art, spoken word and theatrical events. The hit "For The Record" series will leave its resident home in Los Feliz for one night only and head to Hollywood to perform "Tarantino In Concert" at famed House of Blues Sunset Strip. This version of the World Theatrical Presentation, performed only once before at the 2012 SXSW festival, will be staged on Tuesday, April 16 @ 8pm. Joining composer-lyricist and original star Lin-Manuel Miranda on stage will be original Broadway cast members Christopher Jackson, Karen Olivo, Olga Merediz, Robin De Jesus, Mandy Gonzalez, Andrea Burns, Seth Stewart, Janet Dacal, and Eliseo Roman.
