The production, in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse, is written by Scott Carter, executive producer and writer for Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect and Real Time.

New Georges will remount their critically acclaimed production of Kate Benson's A Beautiful Day in November on the Banks of the Greatest of the Great Lakes directed by Lee Sunday Evans in association with Women's Project Theater, January 12-February 7 at City Center Stage II (131 West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues). Performances will be 1/12-1/17, 1/20-1/24, 1/27-1/30 & 2/3-2/7 at 7:30pm, 1/17, 1/24, 1/25, 2/1 & 2/7 at 2:30pm, 1/31 at 8pm and 2/6 at 3pm. The world premiere of choreographer Jonah Bokaer's 'Four Women,' a dance/film installation inspired by four women who were hanged for their participation in an attempted rebellion against the SS troupers on October 7, 1944 at Auschwitz, opens at the Center for Jewish History today, October 7. The film is part of an exhibition entitled 'October 7, 1944,' which takes place within the Popper Gallery at CJH.

The Bard is more modern and alive than ever in visionary Robert Wilson's Shakespeare's Sonnets, a contemporary take on 25 specially chosen sonnets from Shakespeare's canon. Set to a sweeping score composed by the renowned Rufus Wainwright, a genre-bending mix of medieval German Minnesang, classical, pop, and cabaret rock is performed by Bertolt Brecht's historic Berliner Ensemble. The sonnets were pared down and selected by Berliner dramaturge Jutta Ferbers who deftly adapted these captivating poems that were not originally intended for the theater. The production was first staged in Berlin in 2009 for the fourth centennial of the publishing of the sonnets. The production's world premiere was in April 2009 in Berlin and still runs in the Berliner Ensemble's repertory.

Japanese artist Ryoji Ikeda's film test pattern will be reimagined for the Times Square billboards this October. From 11:57pm to midnight each night, digital screens will be taken over by tightly synchronized, flickering black-and-white imagery mining data for mathematical beauty as part of Midnight Moment, a monthly presentation by The Times Square Advertising Coalition (TSAC) and Times Square Arts.
