Masters of Japanese Porcelain Until 30 August 2015 Exhibition Gallery 4, Level 1 Free In the late 19th century, new markets and technologies inspired innovation in the Japanese ceramic industry. The finest potters of this period achieved recognition as Imperial Household Artists. This small exhibition focuses on four such individuals; Seif? Yohei III (1851–1914), Miyagawa K?zan (1842–1916), It? T?zan I (1846–1920) and Suwa Sozan I (1851–1922).

Jim Nue's THE FLOATONES Set for 20th Anniversary Revival at La MaMa, 5/1-10

In Jim Neu's musical 'The Floatones,' four rather strange characters meet at their encounter group and decide the best way to get better is through show business. They form a vocal quartet on the cutting edge of a new fusion between entertainment and self-help. Their night club act shares their group insights in speech and song, interweaving their individual stories, creating a post-Chorus Line. 'The Floatones' debuted in 1995 and will be revived by La MaMa E.T.C. on the play's 20th anniversary, March 1 to 10, 2015 co-directed by Catherine Galasso and Keith McDermott. It is the first production of a Jim Neu play since his death in 2010.

A panel of theater's great advocates and innovators-Carey Perloff, artistic director of San Francisco's legendary American Conservatory Theater, whose new book is Beautiful Chaos; the multiple award-winning actor, director and producer Olympia Dukakis; and Bill Irwin (who won a Tony Award for his appearance as George in the revival of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf and received the first ever New Victory Arts Award for 'bringing the arts to kids and the kids to arts')-join former New York Times theater critic Margo Jefferson for an evening of enlightened and inspiring discussion about why theater matters and how theater fits into today's tech-infused world.

National War Museum Opens Helmand Photography Exhibition Today

A new exhibition Helmand Return will open at the National War Museum in Edinburgh today 27 February, showcasing the latest body of work from renowned photographer Robert Wilson. The exhibition documents British troops' final tour of Afghanistan and builds on his 2008 project Helmand: Faces of Conflict, which was exhibited at the National War Museum in 2009.
