NYCS To Perform Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle 2/25

New York Choral Society (NYCS) will perform Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle in the newly renovated Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center on February 25 at 8pm. The esteemed chorus performs under the baton of NYCS Music Director John Daly Goodwin, alongside soprano Joyce El-Khoury, mezzo-soprano Marjorie Dix, tenor Michele Angelini and bass Brian Kontes.

In an evening led by Maestro Marco Armiliato, NYCS will perform the 'Era desso il figlio mio' from Donizetti's Lucrezia Borgia, featuring Angela Mead as soloist, the Act III Finale of Ponchielli's La Gioconda and 'Lied der Sylva' from Die Csárdásfürstin by Emmerich Kalman.

Under the baton of the orchestra's new music director Alberto Veronesi, the concert features a star-studded double bill of Massenet's La Navarraise and Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana. The evening will feature accomplished tenor Roberto Alagna, distinguished soprano Maria Guleghina, and celebrated mezzo-sopranos El?na Garan?a and Mignon Dunn.
