Piano virtuoso Jean-Yves Thibaudet returns to Atlanta Symphony Hall to perform Ravel's Piano Concerto. Music Director Robert Spano will lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) in Stravinsky's The Firebird Suite and Gershwin's An American in Paris, and a soon-to-be-classic, the world premiere of Atlanta School of Composers member Michael Gandolfi's Imaginary Numbers. The performances will take place this weekend, April 30, 2015, at 8:00 p.m., May 1, 6:30 p.m. and May 2, 2015, 7:30 p.m.

Tt has been 10 years since a program dedicated to choral music debuted on WWFM The Classical Network, located on the West Windsor Campus of Mercer County Community College (MCCC). The CAPA Summer Movie Series, the longest-running classic film series in America, celebrates its 45th anniversary in 2015 with an impressive assembly of classics, cult favorites, and beloved films. The 2015 series will run June 5-August 9 at the historic Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) and will feature 29 films over nine weeks (no films scheduled for the week of the Fourth of July).

David Hayes, who leads both groups, will conduct the performance of these two masterpieces, both of which are inspired by profound historic events and celebrate the strength and resilience of the American spirit. National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Chairman Jane Chu has announced that The Collegiate Chorale is one of only 919 nonprofit organizations nationwide to receive an NEA Art Works grant. The Collegiate Chorale will receive a $30,000 grant in support of its May 2015 concert and CD recording of Kurt Weill and Franz Werfel's musical epic, The Road of Promise.
