SundanceTV and Sundance Now are delving deeper into the true crime genre space with the launch of new seven-episode podcast hosted by Amanda Knox. The series, entitled “The Truth About True Crime with Amanda Knox,” will begin by taking a detailed look at the Jonestown massacre and will serve as a companion to the upcoming television docu-series, “Jonestown: Terror in the Jungle” which will air on SundanceTV on November 17 and 18 at 9/8c, and move to Sundance Now, AMC Networks subscription VOD service, starting December 20.

Award Winning Cast For Bucks County Playhouse's I HATE HAMLET, 11/9-12/1

Tony award-winner, Elizabeth Ashley ("Take Her She's Mine") and Tony nominee Tom Hewitt ("The Rocky Horror Show") will headline a refreshed production of Paul Rudnick's witty, laugh out loud comedy, "I Hate Hamlet" at Bucks County Playhouse, November 9 - December 1. The play marks Ashley's return to the Playhouse after co-starring opposite Robert Redford in the pre-Broadway production of Neil Simon's "Barefoot in the Park."

Gustavo Dudamel To Receive 25th Annual Dorothy & Lillian Gish Prize

The Gish Prize Trust today announced that the inspired Music and Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Gustavo Dudamel, has been selected to receive the 25th annual Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize in recognition of his ongoing achievements as a conductor and an advocate for music education. Established in 1994 through the will of legendary stage and screen actress Lillian Gish, known as the First Lady of Cinema, the Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize is one of the most prestigious honors given to artists in the United States and bears one of the largest cash awards, currently valued at approximately $250,000.

On Tuesday, October 16, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) celebrated the 2018 Princess Grace Awards Gala at Cipriani 25 Broadway in New York. Held in the presence of Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco, the Awards Gala honored actor, director, producer, and philanthropist Tim Daly, Tony Award-winning director Sam Gold, and founder of the dance company A.I.M (Abraham.In.Motion) Kyle Abraham. Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress Bebe Neuwirth served as mistress of ceremonies for the event.

Five Independent Artists Bring Art and Science Together

Sundance Institute, in collaboration with Science Sandbox, an initiative of the Simons Foundation, announced the inaugural five filmmakers and projects being supported by the Science Sandbox Nonfiction Initiative, a new program aiding innovative artists in creating science-focused works and in connecting those projects with audiences. The program aims to elevate the voices of independent artists who are working at the intersection of science and nonfiction storytelling, encourage critical thinking, promote educated discourse and highlight the overlap of science and art.

Michael Thomas Holmes and Tim Rogan have joined the cast of 'The Rocky Horror Show' at Bucks County Playhouse. Holmes will play Dr. Scott/The Narrator and Rogan will play Rocky. They replaced previously announced cast members Jennifer Van Dyck and Erik Altemus, respectively.

Bucks County Playhouse's Storytelling Performances Return With NPR Host

Back by popular demand, Bucks County Playhouse's Storytelling Series returns this fall with a new name and expanded opportunities to hear and see renowned storytellers live on stage. The opening performance of the new WORD OF MOUTH series features two special guests: Ophira Eisenberg (host of NPR's 'Ask Me Another') and Jeff Rudell (recent contestant on the new NBC hit show, 'Making It' with Amy Poelher and Nick Offerman). The fall series features monthly performances, two shows a night at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on September 28, October 19, November 16 and December 14. Tickets range in price from $25 for a single ticket to $80 for the four-show package and are available at BucksCountyPlayhouse.org or (215) 862-2121.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET Breaks Records at Bucks County Playhouse

Bucks County Playhouse's acclaimed production of "Million Dollar Quartet" has surpassed expectations and broken the Playhouse's box office record - becoming the theater's most attended and top grossing production. Playing off the theme of this rock n' roll musical, cast members Sky Seals (who plays Johnny Cash), Ari McKay Wilford (who plays Elvis Presley) and Ryah Nixon will perform. Cast members will join the Playhouse's Producing Director Tony Award-winning Alexander Fraser and staff to "SMASH records."
