Stage Door Records will release of the 1980 Original London Cast Recording of the musical COLETTE by John Dankworth on February 22nd. The release will be the first time the recording has been available on CD. The musical starred Cleo Laine in the title role. The show originally opened at The Stables Theatre, Wavendon in 1979 and transferred to the Comedy Theatre, London in September 1980.
Soprano JANET PAVEK, age 72, died January 6, 2009 in New Port Richey, Florida. The cause of death was complications resulting from liver failure.
Pavek was born in Bronxville, New York. She started studying voice at the age of eleven, and after being named 'Miss Eastchester' in 1953, at the age of sixteen she was cast in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Broadway production of 'Me and Juliet.'
