Lookingglass summer camps instruct students through ensemble-based techniques of transformation, adaptation and invention, instilling self-esteem and confidence in every student. Students develop strong theatrical skills by working with stories from a variety of genres, as well as create new work.  

Berkeley Rep to Present West Coast Premiere of Zimmerman's TREASURE ISLAND

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the West Coast premiere of Treasure Island by Tony Award-winning director Mary Zimmerman. Critically praised as "nothing short of sublime" (Chicago-Sun Times), and "Zimmerman remains a superior storyteller " (Chicago Tribune), Treasure Island, a co-production with Chicago's Lookingglass Theatre Company, is a glorious adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's most beloved novel. Previews begin Friday, April 22, and the show runs through Sunday, June 5, 2016. Press night for Treasure Island will be held on Friday, April 29. Individual tickets start at $29 and can be purchased online at berkeleyrep.org or by phone, 510 647-2949.

The Chicago Mammals to Present CLAY CONTINENT: JEKYLL AND HYDE

The Chicago Mammals remount their highly acclaimed production CLAY CONTINENT - JEKYLL AND HYDE. Inspired by the grotesque portraiture of Francis Bacon and the novel 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde', CLAY CONTINENT is an aural pageant of diabolical villainy constructed with excerpts of text from the stories of Robert Louis Stevenson, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and Edgar Allen Poe.

Devised, directed and choreographed by Drew McOnie, JEKYLL AND HYDE stars Daniel Collins as Dr. Jekyll, Tim Hodges as Mr. Hyde and Rachel Muldoon as Dahlia. The cast also includes Ashley Andrews, Joao Carolino, Carrie Taylor Johnson, Anabel Kutay, Ebony Molina, Freya Rowley, Alexzandra Sarmiento, Barnaby Thompson and Jason Winter.
