According to EW.com, Tony Awrd nominee Josh Gad will make an appearance on the third season of ABC's 'Modern Family.' Gad will play 'Kenny, a neighbor of the Dunphys who worships the ground that Phil (Ty Burell) walks stumbles on - and he's made all decisions in his life based on what Phil would do.'

Songwriter Robert Lopez won the Tony Award in 2004 for his AVENUE Q score. Now, he's written the score to another Broadway hit - THE BOOK OF MORMON. Lopez recently sat down at the piano in the Soundcheck studio to talk about the musical collaboration with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
BOOK OF MORMON Breaks O'Neill Theatre House Record Again

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record of the Eugene O'Neill Theatre for the 15th time. The show earned $1,289,947.50 in the 1,068-seat O'Neill for the week ending Sunday, August 14, 2011.

According to Deadline.com, Tony nominee Josh Gad has just signed with Brillstein Entertainment Partners. for management. In addition to starring in THE BOOK OF MORMON on Broadway, Gad is a correspondent on The Daily Show and is creating a comedy for NBC.

The Broadway company of 'The Book of Mormon' has announced that they will add an additional performance to their schedule in order to perform a benefit 'Special Performance' on Sunday, August 28 at 8 pm. All proceeds will go to The Actors Fund.

The new Disney animated feature WINNIE THE POOH was just released in theaters nationwide last week, and composer for the film and BOOK OF MORMON creator Robert Lopez recently chatted with Time Magazine about both projects. When asked about the difficulty of switching from writing for MORMON to POOH, Lopez responded: 'Pretty easy. I'm the type of guy who likes to kind of pad about and look for things to eat. I actually play the part of Pooh's tummy. I'm the uvular trill that's his tummy growl.'
