The worlds of art, fashion, design, theater and media came together for “Reflections: Art & Beauty” a one-night- only exhibition of significant contemporary art works to benefit Robert Wilson's internationally acclaimed arts incubator The Watermill Center. Hosted by Sherle Wagner International, the premier source, world-wide, for luxury bath hardware, and bath accessories and the recently launched Fairweather Magazine dedicated to following La Dolce Vita world-wide, the Vernissage drew over 400 guests to the gorgeous showroom. A magnificent sculpture in painted and chromed steel, “Rev. E. Piscapalian Study” by the renowned John Chamberlain towered over attendees as they arrived and were greeted by Evan Geoffroy, CEO, Sherle Wagner, Alexandra Fairweather and Eric Goodman, co-founders Fairweather Magazine and Pinki Patel of The Watermill Center.

It can be argued that author Philip K Dick (also called PKD) is one of the most influential authors of the 21st century. His works have inspired many films, music albums, artworks and even an opera. It's been forty years since Dick had a religious experience that led to several of his books. The Empire Never Ended features work by artists Prince Rama, Marc Bijl, Serge Onnen and Benny Sanders that are influenced and/or connected to the political and metaphysical themes in PKD's VALIS.

Activism and artistic practice intersect in Witness: Art and Civil Rights in the Sixties, a presentation of 103 works by 66 artists that is among the few exhibitions to explore how painting, sculpture, graphics, and photography not only responded to the political and social turmoil of the era but also helped to influence its direction. Debuting at the Brooklyn Museum, where it will be on view from March 7 through July 6, 2014, the touring exhibition marks the fiftieth anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the events leading to this historic moment, and the aftermath of the legislation.

A retrospective of fifty works created by the Brooklyn-based art collective known as The Bruce High Quality Foundation, which takes its name from a fictional artist named Bruce High Quality who supposedly perished in 9/11, will be presented at the Brooklyn Museum from today, June 28 through September 22, 2013. The Bruce High Quality Foundation: Ode to Joy, 2001-2013 will include a wide range of work by a group whose production has included subversive and often humorous installation art, live performance, film, and social sculpture in the tradition of agit-prop.

On Friday, May 31 at Carnegie Hall, actress and arts advocate Sarah Jessica Parker and fashion designer Zac Posen will share the spotlight with the talented teens who received national honors in the 90 th annual Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. More than 800 teens from 47 states, along with their families and teachers, are expected to attend the celebration. There, 15 graduating seniors will receive Portfolio Gold Medals, the Awards' highest honor, which includes a $10,000 scholarship. For the first time in the Awards' 90-year history, the ceremony will be webcast live so people across the nation can share in the celebration.
