Tonight, December 10 at 7pm, Lisa and her guests Jonathan Crombie, David Cromer, Cole Escola, Cady Huffman, Troy Britton Johnson, Beth Leavel, and Greg Morrison visit The Drowsy Chaperone, "Slings & Arrows," "Skippy's Rangers: The Show They Never Gave," and an assortment of her other delightful, sometimes misguided, musical comedy ventures. This concert will be part of the long-running Broadway at Birdland concert series, with all proceeds going to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

This special one night only event will take place at the Lucille Lortel Theater located at 121 Christopher Street in New York City, where the original production performed. Directed by Judith Ivey and starring Blythe Danner, Annie Potts as M'Lynn, the original Truvy, Margo Martindale as Ouiser, Celia Keenan-Bolger as Shelby and Sarah Stiles as Annelle. Additional cast announced soon! Music for this production has been generously donated by Bonnie Raitt and Pat Boone. With support from the 25th Anniversary Honorary Committee including Olympia Dukakis, Sally Field, Daryl Hannah, Shirley MacLaine, Dolly Parton and Julia Roberts and sponsored by Lifetime Television, Magnolia Bakery and Veranda Restaurant. A VIP reception with the cast and crew will follow this special performance.

The cast of includes Kristin Chenoweth, John Stamos, Jane Krakowski, Cristin Milioti, Anne L. Nathan, Michael Park, Miriam Shor and Daniel Torres. At this time there has been no formal announcement, or set timetable for the show. The reading is being presented by Laurence Mark, Donald De Line and Broadway Across America. The Lifetime Original Movie Steel Magnolias, a television adaptation of the iconic play and 1989 film, reached new heights for the network, averaging 6.5 million Total Viewers in its world premiere last night, becoming Lifetime's third most-watched original telecast ever -- posting its best delivery since 2006 (Life is Not a Fairy Tale: The Fantasia Barrino Story) -- and the number one cable movie among Total Viewers since 2007 (excluding miniseries).
