The Bay Street Shakespeare Initiative and Hamptons Shakespeare Festival presented TWELFTH NIGHT, OR WHAT YOU WILL by William Shakespeare last Friday and Saturday nights at Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor, NY. Sel Kardan, President and CEO of the Colburn School announced today that James Conlon, artistic adviser to the Colburn School's Ziering-Conlon Initiative for Recovered Voices, will deliver the keynote address at the two-day, public symposium 'Music, Censorship and Meaning in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union: Echoes and Consequences,' today, August 9, 2014, at the Colburn School.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the California premiere of Quiara Alegria Hudes' Water by the Spoonful, winner of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Directed by Edward Torres, Water by the Spoonful will run April 12 - May 11, 2014 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run April 12 - April 16. Opening night is Thursday, April 17 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.TheOldGlobe.org, by phone at (619) 23-GLOBE, or by visiting the Box Office at 1363 Old Globe Way in Balboa Park. Sel Kardan, President and CEO of The Colburn School, announced today the establishment of The Ziering-Conlon Initiative for Recovered Voices at the Colburn School. Los Angeles philanthropist Marilyn Ziering has made the Initiative possible with a generous $1 million gift to Colburn. The Initiative builds upon the Recovered Voices project at LA Opera, established to support conductor James Conlon's long-term commitment to bring attention to the works of important composers whose music was suppressed during the Nazi years in Europe.
