AileyCamp, the full-scholarship day camp, will provide approximately one thousand inner-city students in 10 cities across the United States this summer with an inspiring six-week program that uses the art of dance as a means to stretch their minds, bodies and spirits.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, recognized by U.S. Congress as a vital American "Cultural Ambassador to the World," will return to Paris for Les Etes de la Danse 8th International Dance Festival from today, June 25th through July 21st at Theatre du Chatelet. The 32-performance engagement, supported by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, follows successful sold-out and extended festival appearances in 2009 and 2006. After an acclaimed 27-city North American Tour, Ailey's extraordinary dancers will move audiences in France in a series of 15 premieres, new productions and repertory favorites, sharing internationally the next era in Ailey history led by dynamic Artistic Director Robert Battle.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, in its inaugural season under the leadership of artistic director Robert Battle, makes its annual stop at NJPAC's Prudential Hall during from tonight, May 11 through May 13. The company brings NJPAC premieres of Home, choreographed by Rennie Harris, Paul Taylor's Arden Court, Minus 16, choreographed by Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin and of which NJPAC is a co-commissioner, and Takademe, an early work by Battle, in addition to repertory classics such as Alvin Ailey's inspiring Revelations.

Stars of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, gifted young dancers from The Ailey School and, for the first time ever, talented students from AileyCamp come together for a spectacular one-night performance on tonight, May 8th at 7pm on the world famous Apollo stage. Led by new Artistic Director Robert Battle, the Spring Gala Benefit performance is at the Apollo Theater (253 W 125th Street, between 7th & 8th Avenues). A gala party with festive dress, décor and dancing to music by the famed DJ Ruckus will conclude the 10th annual celebration.
