Broadway producer Robert Ahrens has announced plans for an original musical 'Big Time' with a creative team including Tony nominee Douglas Carter Beane (Book), Doug Cohen (Music and Lyrics) and Christopher Ashley (Director).

XANADU, Broadway's surprise hit musical, now in its 2nd smash year at the Helen Hayes Theatre (240
West 44th St) is excited to announce that a London West End production is in the works spearheaded byDavid Ian and John Gore. The Broadway producers, Robert Ahrens, Tara Smith, Brian Swibel, Cari Smulyan ,Dale Smith and Dan Vickery will join Ian and Gore. The production is slated for Spring, 2009 at a theatre to be announced.

Producers Robert Ahrens, Tara Smith, Brian Swibel, Cari Smulyan and Dale Smith are happy to announce that as XANADU approaches its 350th performance on Broadway, all the stars of the show have signed on to stay through January 25th, 2009. Kerry Butler (Kira), Cheyenne Jackson (Sonny), Tony Roberts (Danny), Jackie Hoffman (Caliope) and Mary Testa (Melpomene) will continue in their roles in Broadway's biggest surprise musical hit playing at the Helen Hayes Theatre.

The original cast CD of Broadway's Xanadu is released today December 11, by PS Classics for purchase online or at the theatre. Plus, Xanadu has finalized a six-figure deal giving Tin Tin Entertainment the exclusive South Korean local-language rights to the show for two years.

Overall attendance at the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has increased for the fourth consecutive year, up to 41,000 from 36,400 in 2006. Coupled with Festival memberships increasing 30% to 520, 2007 will see the highest income target yet reached by the four-year-old festival.
