BETH MORRISON PROJECTS and HERE have announced the full lineup for the second annual PROTOTYPE: Opera/Theatre/Now, running January 8-19, 2014 at five venues across New York City: Baruch Performing Arts Center, HERE, Joe's Pub, Roulette, and Trinity Wall Street.

Disney's Beauty and the Beast, the award-winning worldwide smash hit Broadway musical, is coming to Orange County at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Produced by NETworks Presentations, this elaborate theatrical production will come to life on stage at Segerstrom Hall from January 14 - 19, 2014.

HERE begins its 2013-2014 producing season with the premiere of the site-specific Artistic Director production, Trade Practices, by Kristin Marting & David Evans Morris. Trade Practices, a new work exploring the notion of 'value' against the backdrop of the booms and busts of the past decade, is set to play October 18 - November 3. Official Opening Night is set for Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00pm. Trade Practices will take place at a site in lower Manhattan's Financial District; address to be announced.

'Disney's Beauty and the Beast, the award-winning worldwide smash hit Broadway musical, is coming to St. Louis, Mo. as part of the U.S. Bank Broadway series. Produced by NETworks Presentations, this elaborate theatrical production will come to life on stage at the Fabulous Fox Theatre November 1-3.

Beauty and the Beast may have first appeared on Broadway almost 20 years ago, in 1994, but the show is alive and well. Newly re-imagined, the current US national touring company will be making its way to Durham for an engagement from October 8 - 13. In preparation for the show's arrival in the triangle, I had the honor of speaking with Matt West, the show's Tony-nominated choreographer, about the show's beginnings, its new life, and the message at its heart.

3-Legged Dog (Kevin Cunningham, Artistic Director) and Teeth of Tooth Atelier are pleased to announce the World Premiere of THE DOWNTOWN LOOP, written by Ben Gassman, directed by Meghan Finn, with video design by Jared Mezzocchi. THE DOWNTOWN LOOP begins preview performances on Tuesday, October 15 for a limited engagement through Saturday, November 16. Opening Night is Wednesday, October 23 at 8:00 PM. Last night I fell in love … again … with Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST! And that was surprise. The Musical holds a very special place in my heart since Broadway's original Belle, Susan Egan, and Broadway's final Belle, Anneliese Vanderpol, are both former students of mine. I was looking forward to seeing the production - but I was, in no way, expecting to be so completely taken in. It was a first class production all the way and was, by far, for me, the best musical theatre production in the McCallum's 25th anniversary season and the perfect way for them to begin to bring down the curtain on a tremendous and memorable year.
