Fifty years ago, the Beatles came to America.... and made their only Pittsburgh appearance at the Civic Arena on September 14, 1964. Legendary concert promoter Pat DiCesare, who brought the band to Pittsburgh for its historic performance, will reprise his role by hosting a series of events, including a tribute concert featuring Beatlemania Now, on September 13th at 8pm, at the Benedum Center.

'The Art of Ringo Starr' opened last weekend in Stone Harbor. This weekend, Ocean Galleries brings the exhibition of Ringo Starr's digitally composed artwork in its entirety to Caesars Atlantic City for a public showing in the Tiberius Room, located on the third floor.
All artwork is available for acquisition. Anyone who acquires Ringo's artwork will have the opportunity to meet and have a photo taken with the legendary artist at a private reception on Saturday, June 21 prior to the All Starr Band's performance at Caesars Atlantic City.
Ringo's collection includes new sketches and artwork featuring 'Self Portraits' from his early days to present day, as well as a new series of Peace Signs, all depicted in his bright and colorful palette. As always, Ringo's proceeds will benefit the Lotus US Foundation Charity, which funds, supports, participates in, and promotes charitable projects aimed at advancing social welfare in diverse areas.

Hummingbird in a Box, the latest work from legendary musician Peter Frampton, will be released June 23 via RED Distribution. The new music was inspired by the Cincinnati Ballet, featuring seven original guitar pieces in Frampton's virtuosic stylings. Frampton composed all songs on the mini-album along with Gordon Kennedy, who also co-produced the recording. The two previously teamed up for Fingerprints, which garnered them both a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album.

As Ringo Starr hits the road this summer with his 14th All Starr Band, a collection of his art, composed by Starr electronically, will make companion stops at galleries in three select cities. Ocean Galleries was chosen for one of the gallery shows in conjunction with the Atlantic City performance.
Ringo began composing art on his computer in the late 90s while on tour. He has created art over the past few years for Knot For Violence, Imagine World Peace, WaterAid, and Timberland boots, as well as an original design for the Hard Rock Signature Series T-Shirt.
