Commedia Beauregard Presents CORLEONE: THE SHAKESPEAREAN GODFATHER, 6/1-24

This Friday, Commedia Beauregard, a Chicago-based theater company dedicated to producing plays in translation, opens its final production of the 2011-2012 Season. Corleone: The Shakespearean Godfather will be presented at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 North Lincoln Avenue Chicago, Ill. The production opens on June 1 at 7:30p.m. Remaining shows are scheduled for Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 2:30 p.m. through June 24, 2012.

Commedia Beauregard, a Chicago-based theater company dedicated to producing plays in translation, turned the concept of translation on its head this year with the audience favorite production of Bard Fiction. Their upcoming summer show, Corleone: The Shakespearean Godfather continues their film-to-Shakespeare season and will be presented at the Greenhouse Theater Center from June 1-24, 2012.

Carousel Theatre Company (Kelly Feustel, Artistic Director; Kevin Feustel, Managing Director) is proud to present Pierre Corneille's LE CID, directed by Richard Pepio. This production will play a very limited run at the Gene Frankel Theater (24 Bond Street), Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25 at 8 PM, with matinees on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 at 2 PM.
