Shakespeare's Macbeth opens Sheffield Theatres' autumn season in the Crucible, on a unique in-the-round stage from Wednesday 5 September until Saturday 6 October.

On Monday, July 23, 2012, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2012 nominees at its annual sold-out event at the Carmine Street Recreation Center located at 25 Carmine Street.

On Monday, July 23rd, the IT Awards celebrated the end of the season and announced the 2012 New York Innovative Theatre Awards Nominees. The official announcement was made by Jolie Garrett, David M. Pincus, Cat Parker, Derek Shore, Tari Stratton and Kristen Vaughan.

Artistic Director Daniel Evans today announced that Geoffrey Streatfeild and Claudie Blakley will lead the company of Macbeth - the first Crucible production of the company's autumn season - which opens on Wednesday 5 September and runs until Saturday 6 October.

A season of high drama and razor-sharp comedy takes to the stage this autumn as Sheffield Theatres unveils its new season from September 2012 - January 2013. The season opens with Sheffield Theatres' Artistic Director Daniel Evans directing a new production of Shakespeare's Macbeth, followed by the regional premiere of Penelope Skinner's The Village Bike and a major revival of Shelagh Delaney's seminal work, A Taste of Honey. Other highlights include the world premiere of DC Moore's latest play Straight, and a major revival of the classic musical My Fair Lady at Christmas.

Artistic Director Steven Atkinson previously announced 18 World and European premiere productions for the sixth annual HighTide Festival in Halesworth, Suffolk, from now thru May 13, 2012. New this year is the Festival Bus, providing return travel from London Liverpool Street to Halesworth for the under 30's for £30, including a ticket to two plays.

With under a week to go before the 2012 HighTide Festival gets underway, Artistic Director Steven Atkinson has announced full casting for HighTide Festival 2012. Familiar names include Louise Brealey, Brendan Coyle, Russell Floyd, Elizabeth Hopper, Danny Kirrane, Lesley Nicol, Abi Titmuss, Rosie Wyatt, andMatilda Ziegler. Also announced are the guests for the HighMind Talks at the Festival, including Alan Bissett, Will Gompertz, Ben Hammersley, Owen Jones, Juliet Stevenson and Griff Rhys Jones.

HA! is a trio of Rich Orloff's one-act comedies. The three plays have had a total of over 300 productions in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. Each of the three comedies has been published in the annual Best American Short Plays anthology. Check out the production photos below!
