According to Deadline, Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to lead the upcoming drama DEMOLITION. Jean-Marc Vallée's, director of the DALLAS BUYERS CLUB, will helm the film, written by Bryan Sipe.

July is bursting with musical magic when Eddie Bruce & Friends illuminate the waterfront on Thursdays in Philadelphia at SugarHouse Casino. The shows begin at 8 p.m. and run through 11 p.m. except on the July 4th holiday when it will be 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. On that date Eddie is joined by vocalist Michael Richard Kelly, on July 11th Eddie calls singer Paula Johns to the stage, then on July 18th Charlene Holloway joins the juncture, followed by Eddie fusing with Edgardo Cintron on July 25th. Eddie Bruce & Friends can be seen every Thursday in The Refinery restaurant and bar at SugarHouse. SugarHouse is located at 1001 N Delaware Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125 with free parking. There is no cover, no minimum. Guests must be at least 21 years old to enter the casino.

In his new book Film After Film: Or, What Became of 21st Century Cinema? (2012, Verso), critic J. Hoberman suggests that the advent of digital technology has led to the displacement of the medium of film-and the very relationship between movies and reality. In conjunction with the publication of this new collection, Museum of the Moving Image will present Film After Film, an exhibition and screening series inspired by the book. The exhibit launches on August 25, 2012, with Pat O'Neill's Decay of Fiction, Chris Marker's Immemory, and Joe Swanberg's LOLin the Museum's Bartos Screening Room and gallery area, and expands on September 15 with the film series and the installation of Phil Solomon's monumental new work American Falls (2010) in the third-floor gallery.
