Lionsgate Picks Up CABIN IN THE WOODS With Amy Acker, Richard Jenkins, et al. for Spring Release

LIONSGATE® (NYSE: LGF), a leading global entertainment company, acquired worldwide distribution rights to the horror film THE CABIN IN THE WOODS from MGM and scheduled the film to be released on April 13, 2012, it was announced today jointly by Joe Drake, President of the Motion Picture Group, and Jason Constantine, President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions. The company will be distributing the film in North America and the UK, with Lionsgate's international sales team handling overseas sales.

Museum of the Moving Image Premieres 'Let Me In,' 9/30

The haunting and provocative new vampire thriller 'Let Me In' will be shown at an exclusive New York preview screening followed by a discussion with director Matt Reeves and actress Chloë Grace Moretz. Presented by Museum of the Moving Image, the program will take place on Thursday, September 30, 7:00 p.m. at SVA Theater, 333 West 23 Street, Manhattan. The discussion with Reeves and Moritz will be moderated by Chief Curator David Schwartz.

Kevin Kline and Diane Keaton To Star In DARLING COMPANION

Werc Werk Works, the independent production and finance company helmed by CEO Elizabeth Redleaf, and Likely Story, the New York based production company headed by Anthony Bregman, jointly announced today that they will produce DARLING COMPANION, written by Meg Kasdan and Lawrence Kasdan and to be directed by Lawrence Kasdan.

Starz to Air New Series 'Camelot' in 2011

Starz continues to bring unique event programming to audiences in the U.S., securing rights to 'Camelot,' a wholly original approach to the timeless Arthurian legend, from the creative team behind such landmark series as 'The Tudors,' 'Life on Mars' and 'Torchwood,' as well as critically acclaimed film The Departed and upcoming The Tourist. Originated by Academy Award(R) nominated Ecosse Films (Mrs. Brown, Becoming Jane Nowhere Boy,)Starz plans to air the 10-episode series in the first half of 2011.
