LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & MC COY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT are thrilled to announce that Caroline Aaron will star as Marjorie Taub opposite Marilu Henner who will star as Lee Green in Charles Busch's hilarious Broadway hit, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, opening October 1 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.

Tony, Grammy & Golden Globe Award winner Bernadette Peters and Tony & Emmy Award winner Elaine Stritch will return to Broadway in Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Tony Award-winning masterpiece A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, directed by Tony Award-winner Trevor Nunn.

The CAPA Summer Movie Series, the longest-running classic film series in America, celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2010 with an impressive assembly of classics, cult favorites, and much beloved films. The 2010 series, made possible through the generous support of PNC, will run June 4 - July 25 at the historic Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.).

Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) is one of the foremost AIDS charities on Broadway and their four yearly benefits provide not only help to those who need it most, but also provide thrilling showcases for the vast talent on Broadway and off, raising tens of millions of dollars a year for AIDS-related charities. The President of the BC/EFA, Tom Viola, is receiving a Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre for his work as an individual this year, as the organization itself has already been singled out for their amazing work by the Tony committee. John Frost, Managing Director of The Gordon Frost Organisation, has announced an invitation-only presentation of the musical An Officer and a Gentleman in New York on May 13 and 14 at the 42nd Street Studios. An Officer and a Gentleman, a musical based on the original screenplay by Douglas Day Stewart, is planned to have its World Premiere in Australian in 2011.

An Officer and a Gentleman, a musical based on the original screenplay by Douglas Day Stewart, is planned to have its World Premiere in Australian in 2011.

The first readings of AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN, a new musical, will premiere in New York City May 13th and 14th. The readings will be directed by Simon Phillips and produced by Gordon Frost Productions.

Laura Linney will will be one of many recipients of the Common Wealth Award of Distinguished Service at a ceremony on April 24th.

On Sunday, April 18, the Tibetan Lamas of Drepung Loseling Monastery will perform the Consecration Ceremony outside the Grand Foyer of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall beginning at 2 p.m. After the 20-minute ceremony, they will move inside to the Grand Foyer and begin work by drawing an outline of the mandala on a wooden platform. Weeklong activities are daily Monday, April 19 thru Thursday, April 22 from Noon until 8pm.

Seattle Repertory Theatre ends its run during the 25th anniversary of August Wilson's beloved story of baseball and family, Fences. The play is being staged in a number of notable productions across the country, including on Broadway this month. Seattle Rep's production will end its run April 18, 2010.
