A painfully honest insight into the world of a young single mother, this autobiographical piece of theatre follows Ellie as she marries motherhood with the trials and tribulations of life in your early twenties and attempts to force herself into a perfect mummy mould. Making its Fringe debut following its premiere at Birmingham Rep in November 2017, this outstanding production is a fantastically frank tale of looking for answers in all the wrong places and facing up to your responsibilities when you bite off more than you can chew.

Puerto Rican artist and Broadway performer Luis Salgado (ROCKY, Women on the Verge...) returns to Latin America after making his European directing debut with ON YOUR FEET as the associate director to Jerry Mitchell. Salgado's production of In The Heights at GALA Theatre in Washington D.C recently took home 9 Helen Hayes awards IncludIng Outstanding Direction and Choreography. He now embarks to South America to direct/choreograph a very special production, ELLA ES COLOMBIA; A fable filled with fantasy that is inspired by the essence of the Colombian people, music, artists and folklore.

Saturday, July 14 brings a celebration of island life to the 26th Annual Summer Nights outdoor concerts. Henry Kapono is a performer who has it all - vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, composer, thrilling performer, and audience favorite.

The Latinx Theatre Commons (LTC) proudly presents the 2018 LTC Carnaval of New Latinx Work (Carnaval 2018: ConeXion!) featuring readings of six new Latinx plays paired with Latinx directors, actors, designers and dramaturgs at The Theatre School at DePaul University, 2350 N. Racine, Chicago, 19-21 July 2018. Carnaval 2018: ConeXion! is dynamic event celebrating the abundance of Latinx talent in the U.S. theatre field. Additionally, Carnaval participants are able to experience Chicago's rich Latinx theatre community through events created by local Latinx theatre companies Urban Theater Company, Aguijon Theater, Teatro Vista, and the Chicago Latino Theater Alliance.

Trinity Repertory Company, in partnership with Rhode Island Latino Arts (RILA), announces the third year of its program Teatro en El Verano (Theater in the Summer). This year's production features the bilingual English-Spanish adaptation of William Shakespeare's The Tempest (La Tempestad) translated by Orlando Hernandez and will be directed by Brown/Trinity MFA rising second-year Tatyana-Marie Carlo. La Tempestad will tour throughout Rhode Island from June 28-July 27, 2018. Saturday, July 7 brings the first of the 26th Summer Nights five Saturday nights of outdoor concerts and Congo-born musician and singer Ricardo Lemvo and his band, Makina Loca. Their unique and uplifting blend of Afro-Cuban rhythms infused with Pan-African styles, bright horns, fat bass lines, amazing percussion and melodies linger with audiences for days; be prepared for a street party that must be danced through!

In 2018 on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of legendary choreographer Marius Petipa, American Ballet Theatre presented the premiere of Alexei Ratmansky's meticulous historical reconstruction of the full-length Harlequinade. His wife, Tatiana Ratmansky, assisted him and appeared as the Good Fairy in some performances.

Motown the Musical today releases over 450,000 new tickets for sale, taking bookings for the hit West End show at the Shaftesbury Theatre to 2 November 2019.
