'This is Us' returned to formula this week with a bittersweet look into our characters' mental health, passions, and problems.

Ten Thousand Things is a treasure: a company dedicated to bringing live theater to marginalized and underserved audiences for free. Founding Director Michelle Hensley retired in June of 2018. So this production is the first in new Artistic Director Marcela Lorca's inaugural season, and is directed by Randy Reyes, who is Artistic Director of Theater Mu locally. The mission of TTT is clearly in safe hands, especially given the extant structure of the Artist Core, a group of veteran performers who provide guidance and active advice to the organization.

Inspired by director Sacha Gervasi's own experiences, MY DINNER WITH HERVE is a struggling journalist's story of his unlikely friendship with actor Hervé Villechaize, the world's most famous knife-wielding French dwarf, as it unfolds over one wild night in LA – an encounter that will have life-changing consequences for both.

Cast and creative team members from the Broadway musical Head Over Heels will make their Broadway at W New York debut on Sunday, October 21st at 7:30 pm. Jelani Remy will host the evening.

Following critical acclaim across the board, Marianne Elliott's new production of Company - with Rosalie Craig in the central role of Bobbie and also starring Patti LuPone, Mel Giedroyc and Jonathan Bailey - has announced it is to extend booking through to 30 March 2019.

 In a New York Times article dated October 14, 2018, 'A Mexican Man's Fatal Journey to Reclaim HIs Life,' the newspaper retells the story of Adrián Luna, a man from a small town in Idaho. His life scenario reads eerily familiar to the themes in the World Premiere Play at Children's Theatre Company (CTC) titled 'I Come From Arizona.' In another play titled, 'Augusta and Noble,' playwright Carlos Murillo depicts a related story for these character, while in 'Arizona, he relives the story of a 14 year old girl Gabi, who must negotiate attending a new college prep high school in tony North Chicago. She also needs to care for her younger brother, Jesus, while worrying if her father will remain safe while he visits his dying father in Mexico. Both stories, in the newspaper and at the theater retell the plight of immigrants in America, both documented and undocumented, and certainly other than illegal.

Banana Boat Productions and New Perspectives Theatre Company (NPTC) are pleased to present The Key Game by noted London-based Jamaican playwright Patricia Cumper. The production runs October 17 - 28, 2018 at New Perspectives Studio, 458 West 37th Street with performances Today through Saturday at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3:00pm.

“Titulares y Más” (TYM), Telemundo Deportes' nightly sports and entertainment show, ended the 2017-2018 season as the highest-rated sports studio show in Spanish-language television among adults18-49 and total viewers, according to Nielsen. Throughout the season, “TYM” averaged 209,000 adults 18-49 and 424,000 total viewers Monday-Friday, outperforming Univision's “Contacto Deportivo” by +32% and +14%, respectively. This is the show's third consecutive season at the top, among adults18-49, and the second consecutive year among total viewers. The show airs daily on Telemundo after the local news, at 11:35 p.m. ET/ 10:35 p.m. CT on weekdays, with weekend editions at 11:00 p.m. ET/ 10:00 p.m. CT.

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) is proud to announce the  world premiere production of I Come From Arizona, running October 9 through November 25, 2018, written by Carlos Murillo and directed by Lisa Portes.

The Broad Stage presents early-music ensemble Vox Luminis today, October 11 at 7:30pm.  Praised for its seamless blend of high quality individual voices, exquisite tuning and clarity of sound, Vox Luminis will perform works by Luther, Schutz, Purcell and Bach, exploring the rich history of musical memorials that both mourn death and celebrate life.

Dave Bautista is in talks to join the cast of 'Fantasy Island,' according to The Hollywood Reporter. 

Michael Pena has been cast as Mr. Roarke in the upcoming Blumhouse film, 'Fantasy Island,' according to Variety.

The One-Minute Play Festival (#1MPF) (Dominic D'Andrea, Producing Artistic Director; Caitlin Wees, Associate Artistic Director) and INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director; John McCormack, Executive Director) continue their acclaimed collaboration with The 7th Annual INTAR One-Minute Play Festival, with part of the proceeds to benefit UNIT 52, INTAR's training program for emerging artists. After seven years of partnership that celebrates Latinx ideas and narratives, the festival welcomes the next generation of 1MPF artists, who join some of our alumni cohort.
