According to Deadline.com Andrew Garfield has signed on to appear in the sequel to THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, which is set to be directed by Marc Webb. Previous co-star Emma Stone is currently in talks to return as 'Gwen Stacy.'

Syfy is greenlighting Reunion Pictures' new series pilot High Moon, an adaptation of John Christopher's best-selling novel The Lotus Caves, it was announced today by Mark Stern, President, Original Content, Syfy, and Co-Head, Original Content, Universal Cable Productions. Reunion Pictures is producing the 90-minute pilot which is expected to begin production in Vancouver this fall.

TEEN CHOICE 2012 will once again celebrate the hottest teen icons in television, music, film, sports, fashion, comedy and the web in the choicest, star-studded two-hour event airing live tonight, July 22 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN brought in an additional $65 million between last Friday through Sunday bringing its estimated six-day total to $140 million.

According to an announcement posted on the film's official Facebook page, the just-released AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, will be the first of a planned movie trilogy.

The AMAZING-SPIDER MAN set a new Tuesday box office record according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Andrew Garfield-lead reboot brought in approximately $35 million on its opening day, beating the previous Tuesday record of $27.9 held by 2007's 'Transformers. Commented a Sony executive, 'we are off to an outstanding start here in North America with big fireworks still to come!'
