Poway Center For The Performing Arts Foundation Announces 2009-2010 Season

The following is an overview of the 2009-2010 Professional Performance Season presented by the Poway Center For The Performing Arts Foundation. And, once again, the POW! Foundation has created an eclectic mix of performers and performance genres as the Foundation's goal is to make every performing arts season an emotional and intellectual adventure for audiences of all ages.

Merrimack Hall Announces Second Season, Including IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE

Merrimack Hall's 2009-2010 season includes Upon Their Shoulders: The Merrimack Story, Letters Home, It's A Wonderful Life: The Live Radio Play, Route 66, Ruthie Foster In Concert, Spencers Theatre Of Illusion, Leon Redbone In Concert, Rave On!, and Dixie's Tupperware Party.

Mitzi Gaynor Returns to the Stage in RAZZLE DAZZLE! MY LIFE BEHIND THE SEQUINS

The Village Voice recently noted 'There's no business like Gaynor's show business' and now fresh on the heels of attracting a new generation of fans with her acclaimed PBS musical documentary, Mitzi Gaynor: Razzle Dazzle! The Special Years, -- Green Isle Inc. has announced the world premiere of Mitzi Gaynor's all new one-woman show, RAZZLE DAZZLE! MY LIFE BEHIND THE SEQUINS opening Saturday, January 10th (8:00PM) at the historic Herbst Theatre in San Francisco.

Chartwell Booksellers 'HOLIDAY TEA AT THREE' 12/13

To celebrate its 25th Anniversary as an independent bookstore, Chartwell Booksellers is delighted to announce the return of free music, dancing and refreshment at HOLIDAY TEA AT THREE for one afternoon only, December 13 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Chartwell Booksellers in the Park Avenue Plaza building, 55 East 52nd Street, between Park and Madison Avenues with music by Vince Giordano's Nighthawks. Public Theater Announces Native Theater Festival 11/12

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) is proud to announce the return of the Native Theater Festival, a four day festival dedicated to presenting extraordinary theatrical work by Native theater artists from the U.S. and Canada. Now in its second year, the Native Theater Festival will run November 12 to November 15 at The Public Theater and will feature three free readings of new works by Native playwrights followed by post-show discussions; a concert by Native and African-American singer Martha Redbone; topical field discussions on issues of particular concern to artists in the Native theater community; and a conversation with Oskar Eustis and other artists on politics and performance that will be open to the general public.
