Rehearsals are underway for the Minnesota Premiere of The Crowd You're In With, Rebecca Gilman's humorous and touching story of partnership, uncertainty and love.

MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) has announced the line-up for their Fall 2010 PlayLab play readings of three new plays by members of the company's Playwrights' Coalition: Jason Chimonides, Adam Szymkowicz and Gary Sunshine, to be held on October 18, 25 and November 8, 2010.

On November 4th, a workshop production of JUDGEMENT premiered at The Roy Arias Theater on 43rd Street. In this daring comedy, a Robot from outer space comes to Earth and produces a reality TV show.

Extant Arts presents GHOSTS, a retelling of Henrik Ibsen's groundbreaking drama through Nemonie Craven's bold and muscular new adaptation (commissioned especially for this production). Director Sophie Hunter leads a dynamic cast and an international award-winning creative team from the worlds of opera, Broadway, film, and installation art in transforming this 19th-century Norwegian classic into a timeless and searing piece of theatre. Performances begin November 5th at the Access Theater, located at 380 Broadway.

Diamond (Stick Fly), Keith Huff (A Steady Rain), Roger Rueff (The Big Kahuna), Brett Neveu (Gas for Less), and Tanya Saracho (Our Lady of the Underpass). Additionally, Chicago Dramatists has developed a new honor for retiring Resident Playwrights of special note: The Distinguished Resident Playwright Emeritus.

BACKWARDS IN HIGH HEELS tells the story of this legendary dancer, singer and actress through the music of some of the 20th century's greatest composers and with plenty of dance numbers worthy of the Hollywood icon. BACKWARDS IN HIGH HEELS plays in Tucson at the Temple of Music and Art from September 10 through October 2. The Strand is looking for talented actors for the 2003 Pulitzer Prize nominee Rebecca Gilman's The Glory of Living for our October slot in our main-stage season. We are looking for 3 male actors, age ranges from 20-35 and 3 female actors ranging from 15-35.

Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that talks are under way for Philip Seymour Hoffman to star in a Broadway revival of DEATH OF A SALESMAN, to be directed by Mike Nichols. He also reports that Linda Emond is said to be the top choice to play Loman's wife, Linda in the production which is aiming for 2011.
