Totem Pole Offers More Shows in 2011- County grant funds children's theatre

Hank Williams: Lost Highway follows Williams' rise from his beginnings on the Louisiana Hayride to his triumphs on the Grand Ole Opry to his eventual self-destruction at twenty-nine.

Totem Pole Playhouse extended its 60th anniversary season into the week of August 24th - 29th with the wildly popular Late Nite Catechism. Catholics and non Catholics alike were put through their paces as Sister's 'class' covered everything from saints to sinners, scripture to dogma, Holy Communion to meatless Fridays.

Totem Pole Playhouse will extend its 60th anniversary season with eight performances of the wildly popular Late Nite Catechism by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan. This one woman, audience participatory show, which is billed as part catechism class and part stand-up routine, first open in 1993 in Chicago, IL. Now in its 17th year, Late Nite Catechism has brought its nostalgic look at life in Catholic school to all 50 states as well as Canada, the U.K., and Australia

Totem Pole Playhouse has enjoyed a long tradition of live theatre in Franklin County, presenting six shows each summer and playing to over 30,000 patrons. Although most of the fare is light and family friendly, the offerings are not usually the type of entertainment that would capture the imagination of the very young theatergoer.
