Totem Pole Playhouse has enjoyed a long tradition of live theatre in Franklin County, presenting six shows each summer and playing to over 30,000 patrons. Although most of the fare is light and family friendly, the offerings are not usually the type of entertainment that would capture the imagination of the very young theatergoer.

It started out as an idea a couple friends had at a labor day picnic over a couple of beers. Ray Ficca, Artistic Director of Totem Pole Playhouse, was telling playwright Keith Bridges a story about an overzealous civil war re-enactor he had once met.
