DANCING WITH THE STARS Comes to New York City

The 12 remaining couples take a bite out of the Big Apple and dance to iconic songs from the city that never sleeps, as New York City Night comes to “Dancing with the Stars,” live, MONDAY, OCT. 1 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

Voice Your Inspiration, National Artist Contest and Live Auditions in NYC

In association with RCA Inspiration, Chew Entertainment, helmed by music power couple Ray Chew and Vivian Scott Chew, presents the Voice Your Inspiration contest, to discover the next great artist that will be a voice of inspiration.  Open nationwide to musicians who can be a solo act, duo, or small band ensemble, artist submissions are under way, to audition by submitting videos to https://www.VoiceYourInspiration.org.  Seeking artists whose work can showcase their spirit of what keeps them inspired on their daily journey to greatness, artists can submit their auditions on the Voice Your Inspiration site until October 15th, or perform at live auditions being held in New York City at SIR Studios on Tuesday September 18th, from 3 pm – 11 pm.

The six remaining athletes are ramping up their spring dance training as they ready themselves for another double-header, on the semi-finals of “Dancing with the Stars: Athletes,” MONDAY, MAY 14 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand. “Dancing with the Stars” season 24 runner-up David Ross returns to the ballroom as a guest judge, alongside Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

NYC Musician's Union Local 802 Announces Winner of Four-Year $40,000 Emerging Artists Project Grant: The Roxy Coss Quintet!

The Associated Musicians of Greater New York, Local 802 AFM today announced that the Roxy Coss Quintet is the winner of the union's groundbreaking Emerging Artists Project (EAP). The four-year grant program, launched in partnership with Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL), has been designed to provide support to help more firmly establish the band in New York City—and further efforts to ensure that all professional musicians can afford to live, work and raise a family in New York.

Third Street Music School Settlement Awards the New York Community Trust Harris Scholarship

Third Street Music School Settlement will be presenting three students graduating this June as recipients of the New York Community Trust Harris Scholarship.  This year's scholars, Emma Peleg, 17, Hale Sheffield, 17, and Jennifer Loo, 17, will each receive $25,000 over four years towards their college expenses.  Entering college in fall 2017, the scholars have been accepted to schools such as Yale University, Princeton University, Duke University, SUNY Stony Brook, Binghamton University, The New School, New York University, CUNY Hunter, CUNY Baruch, Oberlin College, and Northeastern University.

Third Street Music School Settlement to Honor The Roots at Spring Gala

Third Street Music School Settlement, the nation's longest running community school, has announced that this year's Spring Gala will honor Grammy-Award-winning hip-hop group The Roots, Clarfeld Financial Advisors, and Beverly Harper, Third Street Safety Director of nearly two decades.
