The Recording Academy's GRAMMY Recordings has partnered with EMI Music to release the 2010 GRAMMY Nominees CD, the 16th edition of the best-selling series highlighting artists and songs nominated for the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards. The 20-song collection will be available Jan. 19 and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the CD will benefit the MusiCares and the GRAMMY Foundation, two charitable organizations established by The Recording Academy.

Nominations for the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced tonight by The Recording Academy and reflected an eclectic mix of the best and brightest over the past year in music, as determined by the voting members of The Academy.

The show was broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on SUNDAY, NOV. 22 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT) on ABC. For the third year, winners were determined by online voting at www.ama.abc.com, www.amavote.com and www.mycokerewards.com. Artists were honored in The categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin and Contemporary Inspirational.

The People's Choice Awards, presented annually to entertainers in the categories of music, film and television, are unique in that unlike its Oscar and Golden Globe counterparts, the nominees and winners are selected by the viewing and voting public, as opposed to a panel of industry peers.

The 2009 37th Annual American Music Award Nominees have been announced and pop icon, the late Michael Jackson dominates the pool with five nominations, alongside Taylor Swift who garnered six. Symphony Ball 2009 chairs Mrs. James R. Dickson III (Dara) and Mrs. Samuel Bartow Strang IV (Perian) have announced that Carrie Underwood, the reigning Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, will be honored as recipient of the 2009 Harmony Award at the Ball on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
