Ruben Wills to Speak at THE MOUNTAINTOP for MLK Day

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday, New York City Councilman Ruben Wills (Queens District 28) will present a New York City Proclamation to the Broadway production of The Mountaintop by Katori Hall. Citations will be given to cast members Samuel L. Jackson, Angela Bassett, director Kenny Leon and producers Jean Doumanian and Sonia Friedman, following the Sunday matinee performance, January 15th.

The Kentucky Center Announces 2012 Winter/Spring Season

This winter/spring season, The Kentucky Center is offering something for everyone. The Winter/Spring 2012 season includes dance, comedy, zydeco, pop, orchestra, country and even kitchen king Anthony Bourdain.

Maroulis, Davi, Jarvis to Star in Revised Broadway-Hopeful THE TOXIC AVENGER in Houston

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announced the cast and creative team for their production of The Toxic Avenger. In a new production, which features several new songs and revised book by the Tony Award-winning creative team of Memphis, Bon Jovi founding member and keyboardist David Bryan and Joe DiPietro, Tony-nominated Constantine Maroulis takes center stage as the righteous superhero in the title role. John Rando (Tony Winner for Urinetown) returns to the Alley to reinvent his hilarious 2009 Off-Broadway staging of The Toxic Avenger following his smashing Alley productions of The Man Who Came to Dinner, Mrs. Mannerly and Be My Baby.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET To Close in West End on 14 Jan.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET will play its final performance at London's Noël Coward Theatre on Saturday 14 January 2012 whilst producers make plans for a major tour of the UK and Ireland. The London production has already been seen by over 200,000 people, played over 250 performances and grossed in excess of £5 million at the Box Office since its West End premiere.

The show will run through May 8, 2011. The Los Angeles engagement features So You Think You Can Dance alumni Anya Garnis, Pasha Kovalev, Robbie Kmetoni, Janette Manrara, and Karen Hauer. Also featured is Vonzell Solomon, second runner-up in Season Four of American Idol, who is BURN THE FLOOR's female vocalist.
