The Old Globe today announced the remaining productions in its 2017 Summer Season, including a brand-new comedy, Ken Ludwig's Robin Hood!, and a Summer Shakespeare Festival lineup featuring Robert Sean Leonard in the title role of the towering history play Richard II, directed by Erica Schmidt. Shakespeare's exhilarating tragedy Hamlet follows, directed by Old Globe Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, one of the leading American authorities on the works of Shakespeare.

Broadway In Chicago has announced Tony and Olivier Award-nominated Euan Morton will play the role of Hedwig, and Hannah Corneau will play Yitzhak in the National Tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival. Hedwig and the Angry Inch will play Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph) March 7-19, 2017.

With pristine timing, just as Strictly takes to the floor, the third - and final - touring show from former pros Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace makes a stop in the West End. The 'last' of the title is more pertinent than the 'tango', as this is more of a medley of styles: the ballroom and Latin numbers reminding viewers that the pair were accomplished Ten Dancer competitors as well as Argentine tango show champions.

Expectations are high -- The Theater Project had previously produced CROWNS in 2010, so "In 2016, we expect to raise the roof at each and every performance in Maplewood," says artistic director Mark Spina. "The music in CROWNS makes you want to join right in - and people do!" The production, made possible in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, begins its four-week run September 29.

Cirque du Soleil has arrived in New York and is in complete set-up mode in preparation for the September 29th premiere of its awe-inspiring production KURIOS - Cabinet of Curiosities, written and directed by Michel Laprise. Cirque's trademark blue-and-yellow Big Top was raised today by a team of approximately 50 men and women, who worked for several hours to pound 1,200 pegs, hoist more than 100 support poles, unfurl the canvas, and finally raise the roof on the acrobatic and theatrical experience that is KURIOS.
