BARBER SHOP CHRONICLES, a new play by Inua Ellams, begins previews at the National Theatre from 30 May, with press night 7 June, in repertoire until 8 July 2017, in a co-production with Fuel and West Yorkshire Playhouse. Directed by Bijan Sheibani.

Edward Albee's The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?, a darkly comic play about a family in crisis, will run for a strictly limited 12-week season at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 24 March to 24 June 2017. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the company in rehearsal below!

Responding to a world where the movement of people is never far from the front pages, theatre producers Fuel are developing and presenting several projects with artists that address the most pressing issue of our time. Some are at early stages of development, some have new tour dates to announce, and some entirely new works will premiere. Among the new works will be The Hartlepool Monkey, produced in association with Stratford Circus Arts Centre and created by Gyre & Gimble, who met while working as puppeteers on the original production of War Horse.

This House, written by James Graham and directed by Jeremy Herrin, will end its scheduled run at the Garrick Theatre on Saturday 25 February 2017.

World premieres, new writers and ground-breaking adaptations have been announced for 2017 at the National Theatre.

Full casting for Edward Albee's The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? is announced today. Joining Damian Lewis and Sophie Okonedo, who play husband and wife Martin and Stevie in Ian Rickson's production, will be Jason Hughes as Martin's oldest friend Ross and Archie Madekwe as their son Billy.

After two decades of research and exploration, he finally presents his long-held Shakespearean dream after finally finding the right composer in Sally Beamish.

The latest instalment in our series showcasing Britain's best lighting designers focuses on the four-time Olivier and two-time Tony Award winner Paule Constable. Casting has been announced for the West End transfer of James Graham's critically acclaimed political drama THIS HOUSE. Phil Daniels, Kevin Doyle, David Hounslow, Ed Hughes, Lauren O'Neil, Nathaniel Parker, Steffan Rhodri, Malcolm Sinclair and Sarah Woodward lead the cast which also includes Christopher Godwin, Peter Landi, Matthew Pigeon, Giles Taylor, Tony Turner and Orlando Wells.

According to The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye, Phil Daniels will return to James Graham's THIS HOUSE, opening at the Garrick Theatre, following its upcoming run at Chichester's Minerva Theatre. Also joining the cast are Steffan Rhodri, Lauren O'Neil, and Kevin Doyle. 

Birmingham Royal Ballet announces the 2016/2017 Birmingham Hippodrome season, the 27th season at its home theatre in the Midlands. The season will celebrate the Company's varied repertory, from the spectacular new The Tempest in the autumn through to the return of The Nutcracker for Christmas and Coppelia in the summer of 2017. Over the course of the season, the Company will perform four full-length classic ballets and a programme of shorter works to include the return of Michael Corder's Le Baiser de la fee, John Cranko's Pineapple Poll and a brand new ballet from Company member Ruth Brill called Arcadia.
