Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) kicks off the 2013 Uptown Series with the world premiere of The Tutors, written by Erica Lipez and directed by Thomas Kail. The Tutors will feature Louis Ozawa Changchien ( Second Stage's Warrior Class), Matt Dellapina (The Dream Of The Burning Boy), Aubrey Dollar ('Guiding Light'), Keith Nobbs (Lombardi) and Chris Perfetti (Picnic). Previews begin on May 22nd and opening night is Wednesday, June 5th.

Directed by two-time Obie Award winner Leigh Silverman (Go Back to Where You Are and Blue Door at PH; Hunting and Gathering at Primary Stages/PS; Golden Child, Chinglish, Well, In the Wake), THE CALL reunites Ms. Barfield and Ms. Silverman, who previously collaborated on the Playwrights Horizons production of Blue Door in 2006.

The Guthrie Theater today announced complete casting for its production of 2011 Pulitzer Prize and 2012 Tony Award winner Clybourne Park by Bruce Norris, the biting, powerhouse contemporary satire about race and gentrification during the past half century in America. Written in response to Lorraine Hansberry's classic A Raisin in the Sun, Clybourne Park has sparked conversation and dialogue across America wherever it has played. Hamlet In Bed, the new play/event from Michael Laurence, the playwright/performer of the acclaimed Krapp, 39 (2009 Drama Desk nominee), will begin previews at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street, NYC) on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. It will officially open on February 3rd. Directed by OBIE-winning director Lisa Peterson (An Iliad) and featuring OBIE-winner Lisa Emery (Relatively Speaking, Marvin's Room, Abigail's Party, A Kind of Alaska), Hamlet In Bed will end its limited engagement on March 17, 2013.

Madeleine Martin, currently starring in Atlantic Theater Company's production of HARPER REGAN, will join hosts John Elliot, Lisa Kerney and Carolina Bermudez on WLNY's "Live from the Couch" tomorrow morning, October 17 in the 7:30 AM half-hour. Two-time Obie Award-winner Lisa Peterson directs a stunning show that stars Henry Woronicz, who masterfully captures the grief and glory of the battle for Troy.

Atlantic Theater Company presents the New York premiere of HARPER REGAN, by Oliver Award winner Simon Stephens, starring an ensemble cast featuring Vandit Bhatt, Christopher Innvar, Mahira Kakkar, Jordan Lage, Madeleine Martin, Mary McCann, Mary Beth Peil, Gareth Saxe, Peter Scanavino, John Sharian and Stephen Tyrone Williams, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch. Riggs, and Vito Dieterle and performed by Ethan Lipton & His Orchestra. The production is directed by Two River Associate Artist Leigh Silverman. Performances will begin tonight, October 6 and continue through Sunday, November 4.
