The McKittrick Hotel (530 West 27th Street), home of the immersive theater hit Sleep No More as well as the recently-opened fine-dining experience The Heath and the rooftop garden bar Gallow Green, will celebrate NYC Pride Week (http://www.nycpride.org/) with specially-curated queer programming at the venue's Manderley Bar, a jazz lounge that features live music on a nightly basis year-round after every performance of Sleep No More. Among the scheduled music acts for Pride Week: Brooklyn-based jazz-pop-soul singer Matthew Marsh, West Village indie rock sensation Natti Vogel, Brooklyn-based Queer Wave band Gay Panic, and blues singer Sophia Urista, who frequently appears at The McKittrick. All music sets are open to the general public-with no cover charge-at Manderley Bar, located inside The McKittrick. Guests of that evening's performance of Sleep No More will also be invited to attend.

A pioneer in the world of contemporary dance, MacArthur "Genius Grant" recipient Liz Lerman's new theatrical dance piece Healing Wars examines healing in wartime, the nature of damage that continues when battles are over and the question of how individuals and societies absorb the pain and impact of war. The production features a company of performers in multiple roles, including Marjani Forte, George Hirsch, Tamara Hurwitz Pullman, Ted Johnson, Alli Ross, Samantha Speis, Keith A. Thompson, renowned stage and film actor Bill Pullman and a combat veteran to be announced at a later date. The limited engagement, world-premiere production of Healing Wars runs June 6 - June 29 in the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater.

Punchdrunk have announced that its hugely popular production The Drowned Man: A Hollywood Fable will end its run on Sunday July 6th. Tickets have been put on sale for a final week of performances which will see the show close after a full year of performances.
The McKittrick Hotel (542 West 27th Street) will re-open its popular rooftop bar and lounge, Gallow Green, for the 2014 season on Saturday, April 19, 2014. This meticulously-designed green space in the heart of Chelsea-steps away from the High Line-features an extensive cocktail and punch menu, vivid scenery, and seasonal small plates designed by Chef R.L. King. Daily service, beginning at 5:00 p.m., offers early guests an after-work or evening/weekend dinner & drinks setting which, as the evening progresses, takes on a more vibrant cocktail-nightlife atmosphere. Danielle Hope, who won BBC1's 'Over The Rainbow', will star as Catherine Hiatt in Jason Robert Brown's award-winning musical, The Last Five Years at Greenwich Theatre, London and The Warren Theatre, Brighton this May. Founded in 1994 by the late playwright/filmmaker Arch Brown in memory of his life partner of 28 years, Bruce Allen Brown, the Arch & Bruce Brown Foundation honors outstanding plays and fiction dealing with LGBT history or placing lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender characters in historical settings.
