The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street), New York's landmark theatre and concert venue, has announced the Eighth Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival, which takes place over three consecutive weeks in October. The Broadway Cabaret Festival begins tonight, October 13th at 8pm with Linda Eder: A New Life, and continues on Sunday, October 21st at 3pm with Broadway Originals!. The Festival concludes on Friday, October 26th at 8pm with The Best of Broadway by the Year. The Broadway Cabaret Festival is created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall.

Producing theater companies Liberation Theatre Company, Woodie King Jr.'s National Black Touring Circuit, and SOUL PROductions have teamed up to present Eric Lockley's hilarious affirmative action comedy, Blacken The Bubble at The HSA Theater (645 Saint Nicholas Avenue). Blacken The Bubble will officially open tonight, October 13, 2012 at 7:00 pm.

President Barack Obama will make his sixth appearance as a guest on 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart' on Thursday, October 18 at 11:00 p.m. ET /PT, his second since taking office as President of the United States of America. Deadline reports that ABC news anchor Diane Sawyer will have the first interview with President Obama following Wednesday night's first presidential debate.
