Ars Nova Will Open 2013 With THE NETFLIX PLAYS

Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Jeremy Blocker, Managing Director) will kick off its 2013 season with The Netflix Plays, the newest installment from Ars Nova's Play Group. Set to play 10 performances only from January 30 - February 9, this year's incarnation of Ars Nova's annual Play Group production features original short plays and live music inspired by the recommendation categories on the Netflix website.

Directed by Paul Weitz (American Pie, About a Boy, In Good Company) the film is written by Karen Croner and Jean Hanff Korelitz. The cast includes Michael Sheen and Lily Tomlin. Hollywood's celebrated jewelry designer Neil Lane added sparkle to ABC's The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.'s Wedding, as Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum commemorated their union with Neil Lane wedding bands. Ashley's ring featured a handmade, platinum band with French-cut diamonds in the middle section bordered by round diamonds on the side, while J.P.'s stylish wide platinum band included a raised elliptical edge in the middle. Ashley enhanced her elegant wedding day look with Neil Lane jewelry including a set of 10-carat, Indian-style vintage drop earrings and a dazzling 30-carat diamond bracelet; J.P. accented his ensemble with a set of five-carat diamond and platinum Neil Lane cufflinks.
British Singer Portia Emare Makes New York Debut at The Living Room Tonight

British singer and Priscilla diva Portia Emare will make her New York, solo debut this week at the capital's legendary acoustic lounge Upstairs at The Living Room tonight, Saturday 15 December at 11.30pm. Portia will be live and acoustic, performing some of her own material and also songs that have inspired and influenced her along the way.

Shakespeare & Company has announced The Conservatory at Shakespeare & Company's winter production of King John, directed by longtime Company artist, and star of this summer's critically acclaimed production of Cassandra Speaks, Tod Randolph. Now in its sixth year, the Conservatory, a 13-week professional actor training program includes 10 - 16 promising actors from across the country and around the globe. This year's program features a group of 16 who will join forces in Shakespeare's rarely produced King John for three special performances in the Tina Packer Playhouse.
