Minneapolis Musical Theatre's (MMT) new 2014-15 season will feature the area premieres of Eating Raoul, Calvin Berger and Happy Days-A New Musical at Hennepin Theatre Trust's New Century Theatre. Eating Raoul, based on the 1982 cult classic, black comedy film about a twisted take on the American dream, runs October 3-26, 2014. Calvin Berger, inspired by the classic French play Cyrano de Bergerac, runs January 23-February 15, 2015. TV's favorite family, the Cunninghams join The Fonz to save their favorite malt shop from demolition in Happy Days-A New Musical, running April 24-May 17, 2015. As in previous years, BWW Toronto is participating in 'Summer Stages' which attempts to pick five of the most anticipated productions hitting our city of the summer. It was harder than ever to narrow the list down, but we hope you enjoy these pics for summer theatrical entertainment:

The Theatre World Awards took place last night, June 2, at Circle in the Square (West 50th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue), home of the current Broadway revival of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. 2014 Honorees for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut Performance included: Paul Chahidi, Nick Cordero, Bryan Cranston, Mary Bridget Davies, Sarah Greene, Rebecca Hall, Ramin Karimloo, Zachary Levi, Chris O'Dowd, Sophie Okonedo, Emerson Steele, and Lauren Worsham. The 2014 Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence in the Theater Winner went to Celia Keenan-Bolger for her performance as Laura in The Glass Menagerie and the 2014 John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre Winner went to Christopher Plummer.

The longest running comedy in New York, now in its second smash year, has announced the addition of a Dallas engagement to the first national tour of Buyer & Cellar, the critically acclaimed, award winning play about a (fictional) Los Angeles actor who takes a job working in the (very real) basement shopping arcade of Barbra Streisand's Malibu estate.

Last season, the Stratford Festival staged a wildly popular production of Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit; this season, another Coward classic will be presented at the Avon Theatre, the outrageously witty Hay Fever. Directed by Alisa Palmer, this hilarious comedy began previews on Wednesday and officially opens on Thursday, June 19.

'NCIS: Los Angeles' star and Broadway veteran Barrett Foa has become the newest employee in Barbra's basement shopping mall in New York's longest running comedy Buyer & Cellar, at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street). For the past five seasons, Barrett Foa has co-starred opposite LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell as tech geek Eric Beale on CBS' top-rated hit series 'NCIS: Los Angeles' which is currently the #2 show on television. Buyer & Cellar, now in its second smash year, recouped its initial investment faster than any Off-Broadway show in recent history, is written by Jonathan Tolins and directed by Stephen Brackett.
