Durham Performing Arts Center and Theatre in the Park are thrilled to announce the debut of the Triangle Rising Star Awards at DPAC.

Jason Robert Brown's intimate musical "The Last Five Years" is at The Media Theatre February 9-27. The one act show tells the story of an aspiring actress who meets and falls in love with a novelist. At The Media Theatre, Jennie Eisenhower portrays Cathy, the aspiring actress. Wallingford's Marcus Stevens takes on the role of the novelist, Jamie.

Rep Stage, the professional Equity theatre in residence at Howard Community College (HCC), continues its 18th season with Heather McDonald's 'An Almost Holy Picture,' directed by Tony Tsendeas and featuring Michael Stebbins, Rep Stage's producing artistic director. Freely drawn from Pamela Ward's story 'The Hairy Little Girl,' 'An Almost Holy Picture' follows the odyssey of former minister Samuel Gentle as he travels from Massachusetts to New Mexico - and from despair to triumph - heeding a mysterious voice. 'An Almost Holy Picture' opens February 2 and runs through February 20, 2011 in the Studio Theatre of the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center (HVPA) on the HCC campus. Arguably one of Broadway's most beloved, sought-after talents, Tony Award winner Sutton Foster is returning to Southern California this week to make her Orange County Performing Arts Center debut for a series of intimate concerts. Performing at the Samueli Theater from January 6 through January 9, Foster's intimate set will feature many of her hits from her stellar Broadway career as well as a few personal favorites and selections from her debut solo album Wish, available on Ghostlight Records. She will soon star in the Kathleen Marshall-helmed Broadway revival of ANYTHING GOES this spring.

As Arena Stage begins a new life in its renovated home at the Mead Center for American Theater in Southwest D.C., it opens its inaugural season with a classic American musical that similarly embraces life on a new frontier. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! is the first production at the Mead Center and features an all-star cast under the direction of Artistic Director Molly Smith. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! runs October 22-December 26, 2010 in the Fichandler Stage.

Pittsburgh CLO has joined forces with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to sponsor a food drive throughout the run of A Musical Christmas Carol, now - December 23 at the Byham Theater.

The talented cast includes exciting new faces and a host of returning favorites, led by Pittsburgh's own Tom Atkins as Ebenezer Scrooge.
