Save the Date: 7th Annual National High School Musical Theater Awards Coming in June

The Broadway League announces that the next annual NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATER AWARDS (NHSMTA)/JIMMY AWARDS will take place on Monday, June 29th at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan. The Broadway League will now be overseeing the centralized operations of this program.

Tony Winner Billy Porter to Join KINKY BOOTS National Tour for Pittsburgh Engagement

Pittsburgh CLO announced today that Tony Award-winner and Pittsburgh native Billy Porter will star as 'Lola' for ONE WEEK ONLY when the National Touring production of the 2013 Tony Award-winning Best Musical KINKY BOOTS plays Pittsburgh CLO August 4-9, 2015 at the Benedum Center. Tickets are on sale exclusively to subscribers of Pittsburgh CLO's 2015 Summer Season.

Kyle Taylor Parker to Temporarily Take Over as 'Lola' in KINKY BOOTS on Broadway; Billy Porter Extends into 2016!

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Kyle Taylor Parker, who is currently earning raves as 'Lola' in the National Tour of the Tony Award®-winning musical Kinky Boots, will step into the role on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) for three months, taking over for Tony® Award-winner Billy Porter from January 27 – April 26, 2015. Porter will return toKinky Boots on April 28, 2015, and has extended his contract through January 2016.

Joe Kinosian and Ian Lowe to Star in The Old Globe's MURDER FOR TWO; Cast & Creative Team Set!

The Old Globe today announced the full cast and creative team for Murder for Two, with book and music by Joe Kinosian and book and lyrics by Kellen Blair. Globe veteran Scott Schwartz (A Room with a View at the Globe, The Hunchback of Notre Dame at La Jolla Playhouse) returns to direct Blair and Kinosian's Off Broadway hit, a vaudevillian mystery musical with an energetic two-man cast. Murder for Two will run January 24 - March 1 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

Sheryl Crow's DINER Musical Begins Performances Tonight in D.C.

Virginia's Signature Theatre presents the world premiere of Diner, the musical adaptation of the landmark film with a book by the movie's Academy Award-winning screenwriter and director Barry Levinson (Rain Man, Bugsy, The Natural) and an original score by nine-time Grammy Award-winner Sheryl Crow. The production begins performances at Signature Theatre's MAX Theatre tonight, December 9. It will play for six and a half weeks, through January 25.

Pittsburgh CLO to Welcome Brandon Lambert & John Wascavage to Cast of MURDER FOR TWO

Pittsburgh CLO will welcome the newest members of the cast of Murder For Two to the CLO Cabaret, November 26 - January 18. Point Park University alums Brandon Lambert and John Wascavage will debut as 'Marcus' and 'The Suspects' this Wednesday evening, and continue their run through January 18. THE MUSIC OF LERNER & LOEWE Comes to Riverside Theatre Tonight

Allen D. Cornell, Riverside Theatre's producing Artistic Director, and Ken Clifton, Riverside's Musical Director, have teamed up to create a special theatrical event based upon the music of legendary Broadway icons Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe. The Music of Lerner & Loewe takes place on the Stark Stage at 8 p.m. tonight, November 20 and Saturday, November 22, 2014.
