The Public Theater presents the world premiere musical HAMILTON, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Inspired by the book 'Alexander Hamilton' by Ron Chernow and directed by Thomas Kail, Hamilton begins performances on Tuesday, January 20 and will run through Sunday, March 22, with an official press opening on Tuesday, February 17. Creator Miranda took to Twitter today to post pictures from backstage, and you can check out two shots below!

The Public Theater announced a four-week extension for the world premiere musical HAMILTON, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Inspired by the book 'Alexander Hamilton' by Ron Chernow and directed by Thomas Kail, HAMILTON begins performances on Tuesday, January 20 and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, February 22. The musical will now run an additional four weeks to Sunday, March 22, with an official press opening on Tuesday, February 17.

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, presents Moliere's classic comedy The School for Wives, translated into English verse by Richard Wilbur and directed by Mark Wing-Davey. Performances will begin in Two River's Rechnitz Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, today, September 13 and continue through Sunday, October 5. The opening night performance is Friday, September 19 at 8pm.

The NEO 10 concert featured songs by this year's NEO writers: Bobby Cronin, Gabriel Kahane, Shaina Taub, andSam Willmott. The evening will also include songs by guest writers (and past NEO honorees) Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Theatre Aspen's new play development series is underway, with the early workshopping of Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater musical Alice By Heart, based on the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland this Saturday, May 31st, at the Wheeler Opera House at 7:30 pm. Sheik and Sater are best known for their 2007 rock musical Spring Awakening which won eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score.
